Description
This is Comet C/2021 A1 Leonard on December 2, 2021, showing one hour of its travel against the background star field.
I combined 120 thirty-second exposures (at about a 1400mm focal length) to make this photo, using an 8" reflecting telescope from my Indiana backyard. Interestingly, the comet was moving so fast that even 3 minute exposures blur the core.
