Description
This is the Horsehead Nebula (IC434), an iconic cloud of dust silhouetted against glowing ionized hydrogen (shades of red) in the constellation Orion. This beauty captured my imagination when I first saw it on PBS astronomy shows as a preschooler. I'm so thrilled to finally have the equipment to image and see it for myself!
This image combines 8 hours of five-minute and ten-minute exposures from an 8" reflector telescope, taken from my Indiana backyard in January 2022.
If you buy one of these prints, I'll also send you watermark-free backgrounds for a desktop (16:9 desktop: perfect for Zoom calls!) and iPhone/Android (19.5:9).
