Veil Nebula

Description
This is the Veil Nebula (NGC 6960): a remnant of a long-past supernova that left us with beautiful expanding wisps of ionized hydrogen (red) and oxygen (blue-green). This high-resolution look was captured as a 3-panel mosaic with an 8" reflecting telescope from an Indiana backyard in June 2022. Each panel is 3 hours of 5 minute exposures. I hope you enjoy this beautiful nebula--long one of my favorites! If you'd like to learn more about the technical details of how I created this photo, please visit: https://www.astrobin.com/g05vt6/
