Description
This is a four-panel mosaic taken in narrowband (ionized hydrogen-alpha and hydrogen-beta, sulfur, and oxygen) taken over several nights in October 2024 from my Indiana backyard. Here, I use a modified Hubble palette: sulfur ([SII]) is mapped to red, hydrogen-alpha (Ha) to Green, oxygen ([OIII]) to blue, and hydrogen-beta ([Hb]) to blue-green. The most prominent feature is the Lobster Claw Nebula towards the bottom. Have a look for the Bubble Nebula towards the middle left, as well as the Messier 52 star cluster just above and to the left of the Bubble.
This image combines 56 hours of imaging (672 5-minute exposures) with two filters using a 115mm telescope in my Indiana backyard. You can find more technical details at: https://www.astrobin.com/kjvwuh/0/
