Iris Nebula (NGC 7023)

Description
This is the Iris Nebula -- one of my absolute all-time favorites near the Constellation Cepheus. This photo combines over 22 hours of imaging in my Indiana backyard in August 2023. A bright star in the center brilliantly lights up the surrounding interstellar dust and gas in the shape of an Iris. But the interstellar gas extends much further!
